Seriously, these chips rock.
A package of 12-50 corn tortillas will set you back right around $2, and you can get a lot of chips out of it. These bad boys will stand up to just about anything–you will not lose half of your chip in the salsa you are dipping it in!
To make 1 serving of chips, you will need:
2 medium corn tortillas
Salt (if desired, I don’t usually salt my chips)
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Cut the two tortillas into eighths. This will give you 16 chips, for 100 calories or less, depending on the tortillas you buy. This is 40 calories less than a serving of store-bought chips, for which a serving is only about 6-9 chips. Wow!
Spray the cookie sheet with cooking spray. Spread the tortilla triangles out, in a single layer, on the cookie sheet. If desired, add salt. Place on the middle rack in the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Take the chips out of the oven, and let cool slightly before eating.
