I am jumping on the blog bandwagon, and hope that I don’t look back! I am a Registered Dietitian with a great passion for nutrition, cooking, and frugality. My goal with creating a blog is to share my knowledge, skills, and passion with the world. I aim to appeal to busy families who don’t necessarily have tons of time to spend in the kitchen, to those who do not want to spend hours clipping coupons, and who think they “don’t have time to eat healthy.” I’ll post recipes (please forgive my limited photography skills!).
About me: I graduated from Washington State University (Go Cougs!) in 2007. I have been an RD for a year and a half, and I have two jobs. I don’t have a ton of time to cook or clip coupons, and I hate spending frivolous amounts of money on prepared foods that I can create myself–and usually can do it better. I love to grocery shop, and find that I can keep my grocery bill to a minimum while still finding products and creating recipes that are healthy and easy to prepare.
Check out the upcoming blogs and recipes–feedback is always welcome!
Just as a disclaimer, while I am a registered dietitian, what I post in my blog is meant as a means to share my recipes and ideas with the world, not to provide nutrition therapy. Please check the website of the American Dietetic Association at http://www.eatright.org to locate a nutrition professional near you who can provide you with the personalized nutrition services you are seeking.
